My client is a leading business who are a specialist within the Steel industry. They are now looking for 2 buyers to join their team.
These roles specialise in the purchasing of specialist products including Carbon, Alloys, Stainless and Nickel rolled products and require an individual to negotiate agreements to establish favourable terms and delivery times, build relationships and analyse the inventory levels.
You will be required to ensure product availability across a number of sites, therefore correctly plan inventory to meet customer service objectives. You will also be responsible for new supplier sourcing and communicating these internally.
The right candidate will ideally be CIPS qualified with a background in a technical capacity, either by an engineering degree or hands on experience for an engineering business. It would be highly advantageous if the individual could read technical drawings.
